Services · Flagship programme
Our flagship course, fully accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Level 2 Coach Training Programme.
A 12-month in-depth course that gives you the skills, knowledge and understanding to work as a coach, mentor and facilitator.
It comprises a minimum of 168 coach-specific training hours with further self-study to give you a solid, grounded understanding of the art and science of coaching, mentoring, facilitating and training. It also gives you the skills and knowledge to create your own training, work with groups as well as individuals, speak from the heart in front of an audience and create and deliver workshops.
The main focus is working from the heart, not just the mind. We are passionate about mindfulness, and we take it a step further to heart-full-ness where you engage with clients from a space of unconditional positive regard, kindness, love and wisdom.
This gives you a deep and rounded experience to be a coach, mentor, facilitator and workshop creator who is comfortable working deeply with clients and able to handle a broad range of client situations with equanimity and harmony. The learning is through enjoyable practical activities combined with reflection, reading, listening, discussing and writing.

How you learn
The programme combines intensive workshops, live webinars, supervised practice, self-study, mentoring and deep self-reflection.
Modules include
We want you to become the coach that YOU are — uniquely — because we know that who you are is how you coach.
01
The coaching course materials are based on the International Coach Federation’s 8 core coaching competencies. Learning centres on applied practice through our interactive peer coaching programme, with regular tutoring: you coach fellow course participants and involve tutors on every second session for round-table discussions exploring how the competencies were expressed.
02
This is the foundation of the course — “Know Thyself” — so you can be the clearest mirror for your clients. You will explore your own inner landscape, patterns and habits and how they can get in the way of good coaching, or support it. Reflective exercises build on one another into a lasting set of tools and practices for whatever field you choose.
03
We discuss how great mentoring brings the best of what you have learned and the wisdom you have gained, using a coaching platform so mentees find their own pathway — rather than simply being told what you did or what they “should” do.
The study process
The course is a year in duration with four phases, each containing distinct learning segments designed to build on the previous segment and provide a well-rounded skill set.
Classes are held every second week; once a month there is an additional group mentoring session which gives you an extra class in the month. There may sometimes be weekly classes to fit in all the material and resources over the year.
There are two 3-day workshops in person — one a few weeks after commencement and one at the end — and an online weekend workshop with the whole cohort part way through. Classes commence with the in-person 3-day induction workshop held in Perth, Australia, then continue via webinar from your own private space. Halfway through there is a 2-day online workshop via webinar. The final in-person workshop is 3 days at the conclusion of the course, where the work is tied together and, if you have successfully completed your work competently, you receive your certificate.
During many of the months, the group mentoring session runs as a one-hour class in a week with no scheduled class. There is no new content in these sessions; they are a friendly open forum to ask questions, get help with challenges, and explore the learning so far.
Four phases
Each phase builds capability from foundations through practice, fieldwork and professional integration.
The first three months address the art and science of coaching and include the first in-person workshop (run concurrently in the UK and Australia).
You will listen to and comment on coaching recordings, join class discussions on the ICF 8 core competencies, and explore what coaching IS and is NOT. Habits are set aside so you can learn with an open mind and an “empty cup” — as Lao Tzu said, you cannot put something in a cup that is already full.
Reflective practices begin with different supported focuses each week. This reflective work underpins the whole course and continues with tools that support effective reflection throughout.
At the start of phase 2 you begin practical work: coaching and mentoring one another in supervised practice groups. There are fewer formal classes so you can immerse in peer coaching.
You engage in 27 triad sessions (12 with small-group tutorials on the coach’s skills). Each triad has a coach, a client and a mentor/observer; you rotate through all three roles to deepen understanding of the 8 core competencies in practice. On two triad sessions a tutor joins to debrief. All tutors are professional mentors and coaches and graduates of our programme.
At the end of phase two you complete your first formal assessment at Associate Certified Coach (ACC) level — recording and transcript from session 9 triad — assessed by an ICF-trained assessor before you coach pro bono clients. You continue reflective practice (Competencies 2, 4 and 5) and study coaching psychology, ethics and mentoring.
Now it is time for real-world fieldwork. This phase includes your second workshop intensive, held online with the whole cohort.
You work with pro bono clients and complete one-on-one mentor-coaching and coaching supervision. Milestones include your first two one-to-one mentor-coaching sessions and first two one-to-one coaching supervision sessions.
You explore the ethics module in more depth and continue self-reflection as you undertake practical work.
This phase finalises pro bono work, prepares your final assessment submission, wraps up learning, and includes your summary of learning from journals, reflective summaries and course work.
You study facilitation with a coach approach, adult learning principles, and how to create workshops and training. There is a practical work month with no formal classes so you can complete pro bono work, mentor-coaching and supervision. Final assessment is a recording and transcript at beginner Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.
The online immersion weekend covers creating workshops and training — how, why and what if — a practical two-day experience. You prepare a short piece to present at the final in-person 3-day intensive: Essential Presenting Skills — presence, coach-approach communication, and applying the 8 competencies with an audience. On the final day you deliver your segment to your cohort.
