Who We Are and What We Do

If you have not yet studied with us, you may not already know that the Global Coaching Academy has been creating and delivering heart-based training programmes since 2004.

We began as a very small Registered Training Organisation in Perth offering a Certificate of Mentoring and Coaching. This was in response to people who were looking for a meaningful course and qualification that wasn't all about 'rah rah' and money making, rather about wanting to make a difference and support others to become the best versions of themselves. 17 years later, GCA is delivering a Diploma of Mentoring, Coaching and Interpersonal Facilitation, as a fully internationally recognised ICF accredited coach training program to participants in United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Asia and New Zealand.

Want to know more? Who We Are

Our Team‍

Belinda, Jane and Julie are our main course facilitators along with a unique and authentic team of coaches, tutors, mentors, counsellors, and administrative and student support team members who bring their hearts, skills and experience to the academy.

Who are they? GCA Team

We love mentoring, coaching and interpersonal Facilitation. We love training and teaching. We love life. And we would love to work with you!

Are you ready to explore the world of coaching?

The people who feel drawn to working with us are people with big hearts; old souls who have acquired wisdom and who love their planet and humanity. They are the ones who want something more. They are the Ones who keep us shining our lights and the reason we exist! Is this you?

Whether you want to become a professional coach and mentor or add to your repertoire of existing skills, you could be among the first new coaches to be trained in the newly released updated core competencies from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

About Peta
I have been a primary school teacher for over 25 years. I am passionate about the future of our children and empowering them with the tools to create a life where they can live in peace, joy and harmony.  I began a path of personal growth and self discovery when I became seriously ill in my 30’s. It was there I began my meditation practice to help support my recovery. I continue to follow a path of personal growth and transformation as well as a regular meditation practice.
As a child my self esteem was badly wounded and I have been on a life long journey of self discovery, learning to love and fully accept myself and others. My desire is to assist others in recognizing their uniqueness so they may live lives of peace, courage and self respect.
Combined with a commitment to my own personal development and a love of life, I hope to inspire growth in others.‍

Have the Courage to Take Your Eye Off the Brightest Star,

for That’s When the Beauty of the Galaxy Appears!

I recently enjoyed a weekend away with friends in Tekapo, New Zealand, which is on the edge of the Southern Alpine region and is world-renowned for its extraordinarily clear night skies. Standing beneath the stars in -6 degrees Celsius, with the earth completely frozen underfoot and the air so crisp and still, I was filled with such gratitude and love for the awesome, expansiveness of the Universe. I felt truly alive and yet so small, in the most magical way.

When I contemplate Humility and what it means to be truly humble, I am transported to moments like these and I wonder, what is humility without a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for all that allows me to be here, in this human experience?

While it is often placed in opposition with another quality (usually arrogance), humility actually acknowledges ALL of who we are, while remaining curious about who we could be. It is about honouring the spirit and surrendering to the journey, while being brave enough to gaze inward and ask, what if there was more to learn?  Rather than sitting in opposition, humility holds a space for growth and harmony within.

What can holding ourselves in a space of harmony and growth bring to our clients?

How can humility help us to meet others exactly where they are?

What is humility to you?

Myth busters...

Exploring a new paradigm of Coaching, Mentoring and Interpersonal Facilitation, what it is and what it isn’t, from the perspective of GCA heart based philosophy and our graduates.

Humility: An important Key to Success

Humility is acknowledging how far we’ve come and how far there is to go, while being in acceptance of ‘this is who I am and where I am at’ with all my bright and shiny bits and all the bits still covered in tar and mud.

Before the Global Coaching Academy, I was an arrogant attorney with my own business and law practice who felt that coaching, mentoring and facilitation, the skills and abilities offered by the GCA, were redundant. I was wrong.  Becoming a coach, mentor and facilitator is so much more than it initially appears.  You learn how to relate to people and hold a loving, judgment-free space so they feel heard and understood.  It’s an incredible gift to be able to offer clients this transformational experience!  I came out the other end a more compassionate person, more able to connect and be present with the important people in my life, more confident and able to handle difficult people and challenging situations in my practice of law.

The GCA is a unique learning community, one that is heart and service based in a way that I have yet to encounter elsewhere.   It’s funny how letting go of what we think we know and who we think we are, dropping pretense and being open to a new experience can open doors and change lives. Now life has come full circle and I am a Senior Tutor & Mentor with the GCA.  How humbling is that!

New course commencing 4th September!

How would you know if your business is a goer?   What would you need to do to make it happen?

Transform Your Vision Into Your Life's Work

Join us for a 16-wk transformational journey - explore & grow your business concept

in an inspiring & supportive environment!

As you set up your business we guide you through things you need to do & know.

“Transform your vision course helped me to become much clearer with the energy I was putting into my business e.g. actually feeling worthy of having my own business. I used the 1-to-1 mentoring

sessions to keep myself accountable to all the various new actions and areas that I wanted to create but felt somewhat nervous and uncertain about e.g. advertising. It was so helpful to be able to bounce my ideas in a safe, confidential space where I was also encouraged to stretch out of my comfort zone and step into the new territory. The course gave me confidence and years on, as my business continues to evolve, I continue to use the approaches and attitudes learned from the course. Highly recommend it!”
