Belinda Baillie PCC - CEO and course developer for our unique Diploma of Mentoring, Coaching & Interpersonal Facilitation as well as coach, mentor, facilitator and coach supervisor
Belinda is the creator of the course and founder of Global Coaching Academy.
She has been working with people to improve themselves personally and professionally for over 20 years, beginning by mentoring young students at risk on her sheep, wheat and cattle property in mid-west New South Wales, then moving to Sydney where she worked extensively with children with ADD, ADHD and other learning and behavioural challenges.
Belinda is internationally credentialed as a life coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and until recently sat on the board of ICF Australasia as the Director of the Australian sub chapter.
Much of Belinda’s work has involved tutoring, mentoring and life coaching in various roles and career focuses. Belinda’s passion is living an authentic, integrated and fulfilled life and assisting others to do the same if they so choose. She holds a number of qualifications in life coaching, training, presenting, kinesiology and the dramatic arts.
Belinda's background in training, farming, theatre, retail and hospitality has given her a diverse background to draw from in her work.
Belinda’s qualifications include a Graduate Diploma of Management in Education, Advanced Diploman of Management in Social Entrepreneurial Leadership as well as various other qualifications in Life Coaching Coach Training Courses in Australia, Diploma of Coaching, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Diploma of Dramatic Arts and Certificate IV in Business (Governance).
Belinda was delighted to be awarded International Coach Federation (ICF) WA Coach of the Year for 2009 for her service and contribution to coaching and also to be recognised as Executive of the Year in 2011 by Stanford's Who's Who of Executives and Entrepreneurs.
Julie Skinner ACC - co-facilitator, tutor, mentor, coach and coaching supervisor
Julie is an experienced facilitator, coach and mentor with a background in mental health nursing.
Julie has worked with hundreds of health professionals over the last five years assisting them to use reflective practice for more effective communication with peers, patients and management. She has also implemented and managed several programs in the health setting both in leadership development and reflective practice.
She regularly travels east to deliver an intensive 8 day training program to health professionals in Sydney and Melbourne. The training is experiential and draws on several models including role theory, psychodrama and concretisation. Julie believes whilst self discovery is challenging it can also be fun.
Julie is one of our outstanding Certificate IV in Coaching and Mentoring graduates of The Global Coaching Academy and loves coaching people from all walks of life.Julie conducts 1:1 monthly coaching and mentoring sessions with all our students who always feed back to us how valuable these sessions are as part of their learning during the course.
In 2011 she completed a graduate certificate in Health Leadership and Management, University of Wollongong and the following year was asked to mark students work in the health leadership subject. Her passion is fostering deeper self care for those in the healing professions and now is excited to join the GCA team as an assessor and co-facilitator.
Arlene Cohen Miller ACC - tutor, mentor and coach
Arlene Cohen Miller is an A-V Rated Attorney (highest) and business owner/entrepreneur who is an expert is in the field of negotiations. Over the past 30+ years, Arlene has successfully structured and monitored thousands of settlements.
She now facilitates Negotiating From The Heart TM seminars, workshops and classes to help people from all walks of life effectively and creatively work out mutually beneficial agreements.
As well as being one of our senior tutors, Arlene also maintains a private practice in Coaching, Mentoring, Spiritual Insight Readings and Crystal Healing.
Arlene holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and ais one of our outstanding graduates of our Certificate IV in Mentoring and Coaching.
Arlene has been tutoring and mentoring for our students for the past 3 years and we always have great feedback about her from our students.
She is the recipient of the prestigious President’s Cup for lifetime service to the Commercial Law League of America (2009).
Claire Newman - senior tutor, mentor and co-facilitator
Claire is a qualified Life Coach, Mentor and is one of our Senior Tutors, having graduated from our first ever intake and launching her own coaching business in London, England. Claire tutors our students in the practical learning component of the course, she specialises in the coaching mechanics whilst combining this with the more unseen, yet 'felt', coaching psychology.
She has had a diverse professional career from nursing in the mental health sector, brain injury rehab, drug and alcohol rehab, eating disorder rehab, forensic prisons, community homes and adolescents with challenging behaviour. Claire moved into nannying and maternity nursing, where she worked with many children and families on a 1:1 basis, specialising in assisting both parents and children through challenging times such as moving country, infidelity, divorce, suicide, second families, bereavement and terminal illness.
Claire runs her own Life Coaching and Mentoring business within the UK, specialising in emotional trauma, unhealed family wounding, life impacts and unconscious patterns and beliefs that are holding you back from living a fulfilling and love filled life. She is currently in Clinical Practice as a Student Psychotherapist and Counsellor whilst she completes her Masters of Science in Psychotherapy and Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
Claire's passion is to get to the heart of the matter, to go deep into the unseen by holding a compassionate, kind yet firm loving space as she knows that everyone already have the answers within them and are far more capable than they currently perceive. She finds it to be a privilege to work with people, it is a two way approach, where growth can occur on both sides when the intention is to find new and better ways to live life.

Patti McBain ACC - tutor, mentor and coach
Patti’s first years were on a wheat and sheep farm in the SW of Western Australia and then she grew up in Perth and attended PLC. Patti completed year 12 in San Diego, California as an AFS foreign exchange student and then received her Bachelor of Arts Science of Creative Intelligence from MUM in Iowa, USA. She has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and in 2009 completed a Certificate IV in Mentoring and Life Coaching in Perth with the Global Coaching Academy. Now she is fortunate to be a part of the tutoring team for the GCA’s new students. Patti is an ACC credentialed member of the International Coaching Federation, the Cosmosis® Mentoring Centre and a senior teacher member of Yoga Australia.
For over 30 years Patti has facilitated and taught meditation, yoga and self development classes and courses including meditation teacher trainings in Australia, USA and Canada. For the last 10 years Patti also owned and managed 5 Curves Women’s fitness franchises.
Patti has been teaching yoga and coaching clients and staff using her mentoring and coaching training. Now she facilitating her own yoga teacher training program in Perth which she developed and gained recognition for, bringing together all her training, skills and her personal and professional life experience.
Patti loves life by the ocean in Perth’s northern suburbs and enjoys driving her electric car.
Michael King - Executive Chairman and co-founder of The Transformational Mentoring Group Incorporated and the Cosmosis Mentoring Centre
Michael King is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of The Cosmosis Academy and he oversees management and operations of all its departments and provides leadership, support and guidance. Michael has experience in many varied fields ranging from engineering design, development and manufacturing, personnel management, college teaching, the entertainment industry, information technology, management and skills-based training counseling and natural therapies. He is fully Australian Govt qualified as a Life Coach and Mentor.
Michael has a diverse range of qualifications including which includes Fitting and Machining, Toolmaking, Welding and Hydraulics Trade Certificates from the Small Arms Factory at Lithgow, an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Certificates in Metallurgy, Heat Treatment, Counselling, Drafting and Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing. Michael also holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage and a Certificate IV in Life Coaching and Mentoring.
As something of an ongoing student of the school of life, Michael lectures extensively in the fields of philosophy, metaphysics and ethics. Michael has four wonderful children who have been his greatest teachers.
John Kurzer – Administration
John comes well qualified as a team member having lived a varied and interesting life ranging from working in management at a young age, working as an aged care nurse, running his own small business, circling Australia twice solo on a motorcycle and many amazing experiences in between. He has been involved in this group of unique individuals who provide our wonderful training for over 15 years and remains a constant supporter of the core team.
He is happy to do whatever is needed in the moment drawing on his wide range of skills whether it is manual labour, handling all facets of student records, managing the administration department or assisting with the catering for our in-house intensives, you will see John’s smiling face quietly going about his business to make your experience with us as smooth as possible.
He holds a Diploma of Holistic Counselling and our own Certificate IV in Mentoring and Coaching. He has much wisdom to share if you ask him, however, his preference is working behind the scenes in a support role for the team, bringing his excellent logic and organisational skills to the administration side of things.

Qualifications: Cert IV Mentoring and Coaching, Cert IV Training and Assessment, BA in International Business and Languages and currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Curtin University in Perth, Australia
Segolene is a qualified life coach, mentor, presenter and writer working as a senior mentor for both the Global Coaching Academy, as well as the Global Coaching Community (the personal Integration stream of learning of the Insight Foundation). She also runs her own coaching and mentoring business - Feminine Source Academy - specialising in coaching, mentoring and empowerment for women, as well as relationship coaching and guidance for both women and men.
Segolene has a degree in International Business and Languages, the IF’s Cert IV in Mentoring and Coaching and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Though originally from France, she studied, worked and lived in various places such as England, Scotland and Northen Ireland, Southern Spain, Sydney (Australia). She now lives in Perth, Australia, with her family.
Segolene has facilitated classes and sessions since 2004 with individuals in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada and Kuwait. She has an insightful, straight-talking yet very compassionate and loving approach which allows you to explore, feel, confront, laugh, develop and grow.
She always continues to grow and learn herself. She is one of the authors in the collection of real-life stories 'Adventures in Manifesting - Success and Spirituality" and is currently writing her first novel.
Linda Lawson – student support, mentor and coach
Linda participated in our 3rd intake of students in Certificate IV Mentoring and Coaching and, due to her understanding of the learning/education process, has provided useful feedback and assistance in improving the course for students that utilise varying learning modalities.
Linda has a Masters Degree in Pedagogy (Teaching) from the US and brings a wealth of experience as a teacher and mentor to students with special needs and significant behavioural challenges, students who think out of the box and students who showed genius potential.
As founder of Heart2Heart Coaching, Linda offers Personal and Professional Growth coaching and mentoring. She supports primarily, educators, trainers, and mentors to model caring for the inner self as well as the self that walks in the world. Her experiences guide her in giving focus to embracing loss, increasing resilience, and renewal .
Her professional life is ripe with designing rich experiences for educational communities locally, regionally, and nationally. She received the Top of the State in Excellence Award, given annually to the top ten educators in the state for Service Learning Projects from the California State Department of Education as well as an “Excellence in Community Service” from the California State Department of Humanities.
Linda was also a member of the national GESA team (Generating Expectations for Student Achievement) which trained, coached, and mentored trainers and educators in Instructional Methodology to create successful outcomes for learners in their trust.
Currently, she serves on the board of the Oregon ICF chapter as the Director of Outreach. She co-creates with her team members opportunities to integrate the power of coaching into the various aspects of community life.
Linda loves the nature rich areas by the oceans, trees, and mountains where she has lived. She values deeply all those who join her in this dance of life. She is ever grateful for her daughter, her life partner, and her mentors.
